Managing Stress for Wellness

Sometimes we need a reminder about just how harmful stress is to our overall wellbeing.

According to WebMD, in 2017:

It is important to be intentional about good self care. You don’t necessarily have to go join a gym and workout 5 days a week! There are a lot of smaller actions, done consistently, that will increase your ability to deal with stress.  Read this quick article from The Huffington Post that lists 23 scientifically-backed ways to reduce stress including:

  • Progressive Relaxation
  • Light Yoga
  • Deep Breathing
  • Taking a walk
  • Hanging out with your pet!

The key lies in our response to the stressors of life. We must all be intentional about how we respond to these stressors. We may not have much control over the stressors in life but we can learn to manage our response to them.
